1786 -- Peleg Wadsworth’s House and Store This is the earliest drawing of the Wadsworth-Longfellow house and gives a good idea of how the house looked when it was first built in 1786. Local historian William Goold made this drawing from a description given by Edward Howe, who was a tenant in the store in 1805.
